"Nothing More Medically That Can Be Done"
We've needed time to talk to family and friends as well as process and pick ourselves up from the news this past week. No matter how much you prepare yourself, the words, "there is nothing more we can do medically," still doubles you over.
We now know March's scan was not radiation necrosis, but in fact tumor progression. The Glioblastoma is wrapping around, is in and going down Michael's brainstem. The neuro-oncologist said two to four months at best. We heard a month at best at Christmas and here we are in May - so although all chemotherapy is ending and hospice is starting tomorrow - Michael still maintains a strong will to live and we are going to do all we can to fight along with him.
Hospice will start on Monday.
Pray for a miracle and healing - everything is possible. Pray for strength. Pray for peace. Pray we keep our eyes on our Lord and Savior as this ocean of sadness and fear rages around us.
